Spider veins.

What this treatment entails:

Many women struggle with this annoying blemish: spider veins.

But they can usually be removed well and safely with the help of modern medicine.

Predisposition to spider veins can be hereditary, their development is influenced by female sex hormones, and they are often also caused by pregnancy. In addition, both standing for long periods of time and being overweight can lead to the development of spider veins. They usually occur on the outer sides of the thighs but can of course appear on the entire leg.
Smaller, less pronounced spider veins respond very well to laser treatment.

In some cases, surgery is the most efficient solution. After an ultrasound examination of the legs, the veins are removed using a fine needle, like a crochet hook. If larger veins are affected, classical stripping is also possible: the veins are pulled out of the subcutis by means of small incisions in the groin, the hollow of the knee or the ankle.
